| Reverse description | A finely detailed Chinese dragon and phoenix are depicted in high relief within the central field, their forms facing one another across a flaming pearl at centre, symbolising harmony and good fortune. The phoenix, rendered with elaborate plumage, occupies the lower left quadrant, while the sinuous dragon coils across the upper and right portions of the field. Four Chinese characters arranged in two columns across the upper field read '龍鳳呈祥' (lóng fèng chéng xiáng), meaning 'dragon and phoenix bringing prosperity'. The date '2003' appears in the lower exergue in raised numerals, and a fine beaded border encircles the entire design. |
