| Additional information |
One of several issues in Uganda's long-running series of silver-plated commemoratives honoring football figures, this piece marks Zoff's career at its most decorated point — his 1982 World Cup triumph as Italy's goalkeeper and captain, at 40 years old the oldest player ever to lift the trophy. The Bank of Uganda issued dozens of these licensed football commemoratives throughout the 2000s, most produced by the Pobjoy Mint under contract.
KM#311 is copper-nickel with silver plating, not solid silver — a distinction that trips up casual buyers more often than it should.
