| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a drum and the national motto scroll at the base. The legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 2000 SHILLINGS is inscribed along the lower periphery in large raised lettering. The date 2006 is split to either side of the shield, with 20 to the left and 06 to the right. The entire design is framed by a beaded border. |
