| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Uganda is depicted centrally, featuring a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a crested crane to the right, with a scroll bearing the national motto at the base. The date 2006 is split across the field on either side of the arms, with '20' to the left and '06' to the right. The legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs along the upper rim, while 'FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY' appears on the scroll at the base of the arms.
