Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed frontal view of the Monumento a la Revolucion in Mexico City occupying the brass centre, rendered in low relief with careful attention to its distinctive Art Deco dome, rusticated masonry piers, and central arched passage. The mint mark Mo appears to the right of the monument within the centre field. The date 1991 is inscribed in the lower portion of the brass centre, while the denomination $2,000 is struck in bold numerals along the lower arc of the aluminium bronze ring. The legend MONUMENTO A LA REVOLUCION curves along the upper arc of the outer ring, separated from the centre by a notched decorative border.
