| Obverse description | Intaglio-printed portrait of General Francisco de Paula Santander occupies the right half of the note, his name inscribed below the vignette. The large numeral '2000' appears in dark red at upper centre, flanked on the left by the Banco de la República's condor seal in multicolour and a Braille triangle tactile element. The left field carries the vertical legends 'COLOMBIA' and 'BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA', the issue date, and two facsimile signatures above their respective titles, all set against a guilloche underprint in pale rose and green tones. |
