Reverse description An allegorical seated figure of Hispania, diademed and draped, reclines to the right in the central field, extending an olive branch in her outstretched left hand; her posture evokes the classical personification used on earlier Spanish coinage. The word ESPAÑA appears prominently in the upper central field beneath the curved legend ÚLTIMA EMISIÓN DE LA PESETA, which arcs along the upper periphery between two small five-pointed stars. The crowned M mint mark of the Real Casa de la Moneda appears to the left of the figure. At the lower field, the denomination 2000 PTAS flanks a circular security hologram insert. The design is enclosed by a beaded border.
