Additional information

Issued as part of Spain's vast Olympic commemorative program ahead of the Barcelona Games, this series eventually ran to dozens of types across multiple denominations — a production scale that drew criticism from collectors at the time for diluting the program's prestige. The Royal Mint struck silver issues at both proof and brilliant uncirculated standards throughout 1990–1992, flooding the secondary market before the torch was even lit.

The KM#TS5 designation places this within the test strike classification, a point worth scrutiny when authenticating examples.
