| Obverse description | Uniformed bust of Alfonso XIII facing slightly left, rendered in high relief within a beaded border. The effigy depicts the young king in military dress uniform with decorations visible at the collar. To the right of the portrait, the inscription ALFONSO XIII appears vertically in the field. The peripheral legend JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPAÑA curves along the upper rim, while the date 19M99 — incorporating the Madrid mint mark — is prominently displayed in the lower field. The overall style is neoclassical, consistent with Spanish commemorative coinage of the late 20th century. |
