| Obverse description | The obverse displays a bi-metallic composition with a gold outer ring and silver inner field. At the top of the gold ring, the denomination in Chinese characters (貳佰圓) is inscribed. Dominating the center, large stylized Chinese characters reading 澳門回歸祖國五週年 are rendered across both the gold ring and silver center in an interlocking, modern artistic design. Below the Chinese legend, the Portuguese commemorative inscription '5º Aniversário do Regresso de Macau à Pátria' appears in multiple lines within the silver field, and the denomination 'MOP 2000' is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
