Reverse description An allegorical female figure representing Humanity, classically draped and seated upon a raised podium bearing the Swedish national coat of arms in relief. In her right hand she holds a facsimile of Alfred Nobel's will; her left hand extends upward, offering a laurel wreath in tribute to Nobel's memory. To the left, a square cartouche contains the denomination, beneath which the date '2001' appears flanked by the mint mark 'E' (for Eskilstuna, the place of striking) and the initial 'B' (first letter of the surname of the Governor of the Riksbank). The peripheral legend reads SVERIGE 2000 KR 2001 EB.
