Obverse description The upper field features the three heraldic animals of the Czech coat of arms — the double-tailed Bohemian lion flanked by the Moravian eagle on the left and the Silesian eagle on the right — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. Below the heraldic group, an ornate neo-Gothic wrought-iron grille with foliate and geometric tracery motifs fills the central and lower field, evoking the decorative ironwork characteristic of 19th-century romantic architecture. The legend ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA arcs across the upper portion of the field beneath the heraldic animals, while the denomination 2000 Kč appears in the lower central field above the grille's base. The inscriptions DESET STOLETÍ ARCHITEKTURY (Ten Centuries of Architecture) are divided along the left and right periphery, completing the circular legend.
