| Obverse description | A highly detailed, realistically rendered reptilian eye occupies the central field, depicted with a vivid blue and violet polychrome iris and a vertical slit pupil, applied in color to create a striking trompe-l'oeil effect. The surrounding field is entirely covered in finely sculpted dragon scales rendered in antique finish, giving the surface strong textural depth. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA and the date 2023 appear along the lower periphery. The fineness mark Ag.999 is inscribed to the right, and the XXI mint mark of the issuing mint appears to the lower left. |
