| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Cameroon at center, rendered in antiqued relief within a circular inner field, surrounded by the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, the date 2022, the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA, and the silver purity mark Ag 999. Encircling this central device are multiple concentric bands bearing the inscriptions TRIVIUM, QUADRIVIUM, Septem Artes Liberales, and the names of the seven liberal arts — RHETORICA, DIALECTICA, ASTRONOMIA, MUSICA, GEOMETRIA, ARITHMETICA, and GRAMMATICA — arranged in a radiating pattern. The entire design is framed by an elaborate Gothic-inspired border of quatrefoils, trefoil roundels, and foliate tracery rendered in blue color, evoking the ornamental vocabulary of medieval illuminated manuscripts and cathedral stonework. The mintmark MW for the Mint of Poland appears within the central legend. |

| Reverse description | The reverse depicts four allegorical female figures in flowing medieval dress, personifying the four disciplines of the Quadrivium: Astronomy, Music, Geometry, and Arithmetic. The figure of Astronomy stands prominently holding a selectively gilded armillary sphere, while Music is represented by a figure playing a gilded harp; Geometry holds a compass and geometric instruments beside a geodesic solid, and Arithmetic is shown with a gilded counting board or abacus. The scene is set within a Gothic architectural interior with pointed arches, clustered columns, and tracery rendered in blue coloring, creating a richly atmospheric medieval tableau. A scroll at the base of the design bears the legend QUADRIVIUM in raised lettering. The selective gilding on the instruments provides vivid contrast against the antiqued silver and blue-toned field. |
