| Obverse description | Central field features the coat of arms of the Republic of Cameroon, comprising a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by two crossed fasces with axe heads, and inscribed on a ribbon below with the bilingual legend REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON / REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN. The national motto is inscribed in bilingual form around the upper interior of the shield area: PAIX / PEACE to the left, TRAVAIL / WORK at centre, and PATRIE / FATHERLAND to the right. The circumferential legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper rim in bold raised letters, with the date 2024 divided across the lower field flanking the arms. The denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA appears in large raised letters along the lower rim, with the inscriptions ONE TROY OUNCE and .999 FINE SILVER incused vertically along the left and right inner margins respectively. The antique finish imparts a darkened, aged patina to the entire surface. |
