| Obverse description | Central field features the national coat of arms of Gabon, depicting a shield divided into three sections bearing an okume tree, a black wavy band, and a sailing ship, supported by two rampant black panthers on either side. Above the shield, an okoume tree is flanked by the two panthers, and a scrolled ribbon at the base bears the national motto UNION TRAVAIL JUSTICE. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE runs along the upper periphery in Latin letters.
