Reverse description A full-color applied image depicts a traditional, old-world interpretation of Santa Claus rendered in rich polychrome tones. The figure is shown in three-quarter view, adorned with a fur-trimmed dark coat and a holly-and-berry wreath upon his head, holding a decorated staff in his left hand and cradling gift-wrapped presents in his right arm. A barn owl perches on his right shoulder, adding a folkloric character to the composition. Ornate floral and scroll motifs in relief frame the coloured central scene along the left and right borders. The legend SANTA CLAUS arcs prominently along the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals.

Additional information

Cameroon's membership in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) means its official currency is administered by the Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale — an institution with no mandate to issue collectible silver rounds. These pieces are produced under licensing arrangements by private minting companies operating outside CEMAC's monetary framework, using the nominal face value as a legal fiction to qualify as "coins" for export and collector market purposes. The 2,000 FCFA denomination never circulates in Cameroon.
