| Obverse description | The obverse features a bold, ornately decorated Maltese-style cross occupying the full field of the coin, with gilded (gold-plated) arms set against a deeply relief-struck silver background richly engraved with intricate baroque foliate scrollwork. The horizontal arm of the cross bears the incuse legend RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN in raised gilt lettering. The fineness mark 2 OZ Ag 999 appears at the top of the field, while the date 2024 and denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA are inscribed at the lower portion of the cross. The antique finish lends the silver surfaces a dark, aged patina that contrasts dramatically with the polished gilt cross. |
