| Obverse description | The obverse presents the coin's primary face in the form of a steampunk mechanical butterfly, its symmetrical wings densely populated with interlocking toothed gears, cog wheels, clock-face elements, riveted panels, and articulated connecting rods rendered in high relief against a frosted antique-finish field. The segmented body of the butterfly is depicted centrally with a stylised thorax and two elegantly curled antennae rising from the head. At the centre of the composition, positioned over the body junction of the wings, is a raised circular cartouche bearing the Cameroonian national coat of arms surmounted by the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN and REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON, flanked by the bilingual motto PAIX TRAVAIL PATRIE / PEACE WORK FATHERLAND. The denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA and the date 2025 appear within the same central cartouche, completing the inscriptions. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents the complementary face of the butterfly-shaped flan, equally conceived in the steampunk mechanical aesthetic. The four wing panels are filled with an intricate arrangement of large and small gear wheels, clock-hand elements, spiral springs, rivet details, and layered mechanical struts, all struck in bold high relief with a deeply antiqued silver finish that accentuates the three-dimensional depth of the design. The upper wings feature elongated elliptical recesses bordered by rows of raised dots and clock-face graduation marks, while the lower wings are dominated by large open-centre cogwheels and drive chains. The sharply serrated and spur-tipped wing edges and the pointed lower body terminus reinforce the sculptural, three-dimensional character of this collectible piece. The reverse carries no additional legends or inscriptions. |
