Obverse description The obverse features the coat of arms of Cameroon centrally placed, depicting a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, with the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN inscribed on a ribbon at the base of the arms. Surrounding the central device is a highly detailed high-relief sculptural composition of numerous interlocking human hands radiating outward from the central shield, filling the entire field in a dynamic pattern. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper rim, while the motto PAIX · TRAVAIL · PATRIE appears in the upper field and PEACE · WORK · FATHERLAND along the lower field. The denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA and the date 2026 are inscribed along the lower rim, accompanied by the fineness mark 2 oz Ag .999. The coin is struck in antique finish, accentuating the sculptural depth of the relief.

Additional information

The BEAC issues commemorative silver under the franc CFA framework, a monetary arrangement inherited from French colonial administration and still governed in part by agreements with the French Treasury. The 2026 date makes this a forward-dated issue — a common practice among modern commemorative programs to extend sales windows and secondary-market relevance.

62.2 grams of .999 silver is a standard two-troy-ounce specification, favored by bullion-adjacent commemorative producers for its clean conversion value.
