| Obverse description | Central field depicts a Greek temple, rendered in high relief, set against a dramatic landscape of rocky crags and billowing clouds with radiating sunbeams emanating from behind the structure. The temple is framed by a large, finely detailed laurel wreath whose branches converge at the base, where the purity mark 'Ag999' and the Roman numeral 'XXI' appear in the lower field. The circular legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN' arcs along the upper periphery, while '2000 FRANCS CFA' runs along the lower periphery flanked by '2 OZ' on the right.
