Obverse description The obverse features a dynamic, high-relief depiction of a mounted Hungarian hussar figure rendered in a Baroque painterly style, evoking the monumental equestrian compositions characteristic of Gyula Benczúr's historical paintings. The warrior, clad in traditional Hungarian attire with a feathered cap and fur-trimmed cloak, raises a bugle to his lips in a gesture of martial proclamation. The denomination '2000 FORINT' is inscribed in two lines to the left field, while the country name 'MAGYARORSZÁG' arcs along the upper right periphery. The year of issue '2019' and the Budapest mint mark 'BP.' appear in the lower left field.

Reverse description The reverse presents a right-facing bust portrait of the celebrated Hungarian Academic painter Gyula Benczúr (1844–1920), depicted with a full beard and moustache, rendered in fine sculptural relief with careful attention to the texture of his jacket. To the left of the portrait, a putto bearing a garland of roses is depicted in a pose reminiscent of allegorical figures found in Benczúr's own canvases, lending the composition a self-referential artistic character. The inscription 'BENCZÚR GYULA' appears in two lines at the upper left, with the artist's life dates '1844–1920' inscribed below in the field.
