| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Guyana centrally placed in the field, depicting a shield with wavy horizontal lines and a Canje pheasant, supported by two jaguars rampant on either side. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto in three sections: ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE DESTINY. Above the arms, the legend BANK OF GUYANA arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering. The date 2013 appears in the lower exergue. The design is rendered in proof-like finish with frosted relief against a polished field. |
