Reverse description The imperial Iranian lion passant, holding an upraised sword in its right forepaw, is depicted before a radiant sun rising behind its back, representing the traditional Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) emblem of Qajar Persia. The central device is enclosed within a beaded circle and framed by a wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, surmounted by an imperial crown at the top. The denomination in Arabic script appears in the lower field of the central device, with the date in the exergual area below.
