| Obverse description | Central field features the Nicaraguan coat of arms in the form of an equilateral triangle enclosing a rising sun above a range of five volcanoes set over water, all rendered in fine detail. The date 1975 appears below the triangle in the exergue, followed by the pure gold weight and fineness inscriptions '17·28 GR· ORO FINO LEY 900' on two lines. The legend 'REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'AMERICA CENTRAL' curves along the lower periphery, both separated by raised dots. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
