Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle of the People's Republic of Poland displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and talons clasping orb and sceptre, rendered in high relief. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination ZŁ 200 ZŁ appears prominently at the base. The date 1976 is split to either side of the eagle's body, with '19' to the left and '76' to the right. The mintmark MW is present in the lower field, identifying the Warsaw Mint (Mennica Polska).
