Obverse description At center, the Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, crowned and bearing a shield on its breast, rendered in high relief against a polished field. The date 1981 is divided and positioned to either side of the eagle's body, with the mint mark MW incorporated beneath. The denomination 200 ZŁ appears in bold numerals in the lower portion of the field, flanked by the złoty sign on each side. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. The design exemplifies the official heraldic style of the Polish People's Republic period.
