Obverse description The obverse features a dynamic central composition depicting a fully rigged sailing vessel under sail, riding stylized ocean waves rendered in high relief, evoking the maritime world of Joseph Conrad. The design is framed on the left by the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle — set against a broadly rendered vertical form suggestive of an open book or ship's prow. The denomination '200 ZŁ' appears to the upper left of the ship, while the arc legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' curves along the upper rim and the date '2007' is inscribed vertically along the right side of the field. The engraving by Robert Kotowicz achieves a refined interplay of mirrored proof fields and finely textured relief elements.
