Obverse description At center, the crowned Polish eagle with wings displayed, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The eagle faces dexter with an open beak and outstretched talons, executed in the socialist heraldic style characteristic of the Polish People's Republic. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery. The date 19 80 flanks the eagle at mid-field, divided by the eagle's body, with the mint mark MW visible below. The denomination ZŁ 200 ZŁ appears in bold numerals along the lower portion of the field.
