Reverse description The central design presents a large stylized ancient Greek amphora (krater) rendered in high relief, within which two modern athletes are depicted in dynamic mid-stride running poses, conveying motion and athletic competition. Flanking the amphora in the lower field, smaller silhouetted figures of ancient Greek runners in profile extend toward the rim on both sides, referencing the Olympic tradition's classical origins. Inside the upper portion of the amphora, the inscription 'ATENY 2004' appears on two lines within a recessed panel. The curved legend 'IGRZYSKA XXVIII OLIMPIADY' arcs around the upper rim, with 'IGRZYSKA' to the left and 'OLIMPIADY' to the right, and 'XXVIII' centered at the top.
