Obverse description Portrait of Chiang Kai-shek at centre, rendered in intaglio, with vignette scenes illustrating land reform and public education flanking the central design. The guilloche underprint frames the portrait in fine geometric patterning, with the issuer's name and denomination inscribed in Chinese characters above and below the central vignette. The note carries the imprint of the Central Engraving and Printing Plant.

Reverse description Central vignette presents the Presidential Office Building in Taipei, the official seat of the President and Vice President of the Republic of China, rendered in detailed intaglio line work. The neo-Baroque structure is shown in full elevation against a guilloche underprint, with the denomination and date inscriptions in Chinese characters to either side. The overall composition is framed by fine lathe-work borders characteristic of the issue.
