Obverse description The right portion of the note carries an intaglio portrait of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in civilian attire within an arched vignette, set against an ornate floral guilloche underprint in pale tones. At centre-left, a vignette of the Persepolis ruins with the Achaemenid column capitals is rendered in fine line engraving, framed by elaborate Persian arabesque borders along all four margins. The bank title in Persian script appears at upper centre, with the denomination in large Persian script below, and serial numbers printed in red at upper left and upper right.

Reverse description The reverse is engraved in a uniform deep blue, dominated by a wide central vignette of the Si-o-se-pol (Allahverdi Khan Bridge) in Isfahan, its thirty-three arches reflected in the Zayandeh River below. A large blank circular watermark panel occupies the right side of the central field. The border is composed of repeating architectural and foliate motifs, with lion-head corner ornaments; the English inscription "BANK MELLI IRAN" runs along the top and "RIALS 200" along the bottom.
