Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in military uniform at right, facing three-quarters left, set within a fine guilloche border. The central field carries the denomination in Persian script against a lightly tinted panel, flanked by the shah's watermark ghost image at left. Persian and numeral denomination indicators appear at all four corners within an ornate frame.
