Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in three-quarter view at right, set against an elaborate guilloche underprint in rose and blue tones. A dark cartouche at top centre carries the bank title in Persian script, flanked by arabesque border ornaments, with the denomination in Persian numerals at lower left and right corners. Two manuscript signatures appear in the central field above the denomination inscription in Persian calligraphy.

Reverse description A large engraved vignette occupies the central field, presenting a dramatic gorge landscape with the Veresk railroad viaduct spanning the rocky canyon, a locomotive and train carriages visible crossing the bridge. A Persian caption identifying the northern railway and Veresk bridge appears at lower right of the vignette.
