| Obverse description | The Brazilian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a five-pointed star charged with a celestial globe bearing the Southern Cross constellation, encircled by a wreath of coffee and tobacco branches, and surmounted by a radiant star. A ribbon at the base of the shield bears the legend '15 DE NOVEMBRO DE 1889' and 'ESTADOS UNIDOS DO BRASIL'.
