Additional information

The Queen's Beasts series concluded under Elizabeth II, but the Royal Mint has continued mining the heraldic well with successor issues under Charles III. The Panther — drawn from the heraldic supporter of Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's third wife — appeared in the original ten-beast sequence and returns here in a restrike context, now carrying Charles's effigy on the obverse for the first time in this design pairing.

At 62.42 g of .9999 fine gold, this is a two-troy-ounce piece.
