| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly stylized Constructivist composition in the manner of Uruguayan master Joaquín Torres García, whose Universal Constructivism school arranged symbolic motifs within a structured grid. At center, a radiant sun is depicted, encircled by the four heraldic symbols of the national arms. An outer register of universal and civilizational symbols surrounds the composition, including a classical Greek temple, a crescent moon, a stepped pyramid, a bell, a thistle flower, a communications tower, the Vitruvian-style Universal Man figure, the Golden Section rule, a triangle, a heart, and a fish. The date 1999 appears as the sole legend. |
