Obverse description Central to the obverse is a detail reproduced from 'El Buen Pastor' (The Good Shepherd), a celebrated devotional painting by the Sevillian Baroque master Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The composition features the youthful figure of the Good Shepherd rendered with soft, naturalistic modelling characteristic of Murillo's style. The encircling legend 'MAESTROS DE LA PINTURA ESPAÑOLA' arcs around the upper field in Latin script, identifying the coin's thematic series dedicated to masters of Spanish painting. The design is framed within a smooth circular border.
