Reverse description The central field presents a low-relief adaptation of the central group from Diego Velázquez's masterwork 'Las Meninas' (The Maids of Honor, 1656), depicting the Infanta Margarita flanked by two ladies-in-waiting rendered with careful attention to the volumetric drapery and courtly attire of the original composition. The figures are set against a plain field, the scene contained within a raised inner border. The upper legend reads 'ESPAÑA 1994', with the date split on either side of the field, while the denomination '200 PESETAS' curves along the lower periphery in incuse lettering.
