| Obverse description | The obverse features a bold, modern typographic design divided into two contrasting zones by the coin's gold-plated and silver finish. The upper portion displays the Chinese legend 澳門回歸祖國五週年 (5th Anniversary of the Return of Macau to the Motherland) in large raised characters within the gold-plated central field. Immediately below, spanning the lower silver field in elegant serif lettering, is the Portuguese inscription '5º Aniversário do Regresso de Macau à Pátria'. The denomination 'MOP 200' appears in the lower exergue, while the Chinese numeral 貳佰圓 (Two Hundred Patacas) is inscribed at the top rim above the central field. |
