| Obverse description | Central field features the Bhutanese royal emblem rendered in high relief, depicting two finely detailed dragons flanking a double vajra (dorje) superimposed over a Dharma wheel, all set against a ground of stylised clouds and lotus blossoms. The composition is executed in an elaborate traditional Bhutanese artistic style with exceptional sculptural depth. The legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper rim in incuse Latin lettering, while the Dzongkha equivalent འབྲུག་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ appears in Tibetan script along the lower rim. A raised border ring separates the central device from the flat outer rim. |
