| Obverse description | The national emblem of the Kingdom of Bhutan occupies the central field in high-relief, highly detailed engraving, depicting a double vajra (dorje) at centre surrounded by four druk dragons amid stylised clouds, lotus blossoms, and swirling foliate ornamentation rendered in the traditional Bhutanese artistic style. The legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, while the Dzongkha inscription འབྲུག་ཡུལ།། appears along the lower periphery in Tibetan script, both separated from the central device by a raised inner border. |
