Reverse description The reverse displays the large denomination numeral 200 dominating the upper field, preceded by the denomination marker L. Below the numeral, a hand is depicted grasping a coin above a small pile of coins resting on a dish or platter, symbolising the first coinage of San Marino. To the right of the central device, the inscription PRIMA MONETA and the founding year 1864 are struck in two lines. The mint mark R appears in the lower centre field, with the engravers' signatures APARICIO and PERNAZZA incised along the left and right inner margins respectively.
