Reverse description The elaborate Romanian royal coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield with the traditional heraldic symbols of the Romanian provinces — the eagle, the auroch's head, the lion, and the dolphins — surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is supported by two rampant figures and rests upon a decorative mantle. The date 19 42 is divided and flanked to either side of the shield in the mid-field. The legend ROMANIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 200 LEI is inscribed in large characters along the lower portion, all within a beaded border.
