| Obverse description | Within a square inner frame occupying the upper portion of the field, the national legend SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA appears in two lines across the top, with the Slovak coat of arms — a shield bearing a double-armed patriarchal cross rising from three hills — positioned to the left. The date 2006 is inscribed centrally within the frame. The denomination 200 Sk is rendered in large characters across the lower portion of the frame. Below the frame, a stylised decorative motif of an open flower bud or leaf device is shown in the lower field. The Kremnica Mint mark appears at the bottom centre, flanked by the copyright mark and the engraver's initials MP. |

| Additional information |
Karol Kuzmány was a Lutheran pastor, poet, and organizer of Slovak cultural life whose 1843 codification work with Štúr's circle helped standardize the Slovak literary language — a politically charged act under Hungarian administration. This coin was issued to mark the 200th anniversary of his birth.
The Slovak commemorative silver program of this period consistently used the .900 fineness rather than the finer .925 common elsewhere in Europe, a specification the Národná banka maintained across its 200 Korún series from the mid-1990s onward.
