| Obverse description | The central field features the crowned Czech lion passant, the national coat of arms, set against a stylized spiral pattern of raised circular dots of varying sizes radiating outward from the centre, evoking a dynamic, modern aesthetic. The legend ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA curves along the upper rim, while the denomination 200 KČ appears in the lower field near the rim, flanked by two raised dots. The overall design is bold and abstract, with the heraldic lion serving as the focal point amid the decorative dot motif. |

| Additional information |
The Czech Republic joined the IMF in January 1993, just days after the country itself came into existence following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. This coin marks the fund's 55th anniversary — an occasion the Czech mint used to commemorate an institution the country had belonged to for less than a decade.
KM#49 was struck in a mintage split between proof and brilliant uncirculated formats, both with relatively low figures typical of Czech commemorative silver from this period.
