The 1998 date places this note within the post-Czechoslovak split series that Česká Národní Banka systematically developed through the 1990s, with each denomination assigned to a single designer to give the currency visual coherence. Kulhánek was the dominant figure in that project — his work defined the aesthetic of the entire Czech crown series. Ondráček and Fajt's engraving collaboration on this note is worth noting; splitting intaglio responsibilities between obverse and reverse engravers was not universal practice and reflects the workload demands of Státní Tiskárna Cenin's production schedule during that decade.
