Reverse description The reverse depicts a European wildcat (Felis silvestris) rendered in fine relief, shown in a crouching or stalking posture facing left, with naturalistic detail in the fur and facial features including prominent whiskers. The Latin binomial 'FELIS SILVESTRIS' appears vertically along the left margin of the field, while the Hungarian name 'VADMACSKA' is inscribed vertically along the right margin. A partial inscription reading '...HA KEDVES AZ ÉLETE...' ('...IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE...') is divided across the upper and lower portions of the field, serving as a wildlife conservation warning. The Budapest mint mark appears in the lower exergue. The restrained, uncluttered field allows the naturalistic animal portrait to dominate the composition.
