Obverse description Five pairs of hands clasped together in a circular arrangement, jointly supporting and upholding the Greek Coat of Arms at center. The coat of arms, depicting a quartered shield with a cross motif, is encircled by a curved legend in Greek above and the denomination below. The entire central composition is bordered by a decorative chain motif running along the periphery of the field.

Reverse description A finely detailed high-relief effigy of an elderly woman, head covered in a traditional cloth, her hands clasped in anguish before her face, evoking grief and suffering in the aftermath of the Asia Minor Disaster of 1922. A decorative fleur-de-lis mintmark appears to the right of the figure. The commemorative dates '1922' and '2022' flank the central image, and a chain motif borders the right portion of the field. The curved legend in Greek runs along the upper periphery of the coin.
