| Reverse description | The reverse presents a large, finely engraved Portuguese nau (carrack) sailing to the left, its multiple billowing sails rendered with intricate detail, a flag bearing the Portuguese arms flying from the mainmast. The inscription 'Vasque Dagama' appears in a period cartographic script to the upper left of the vessel, identifying the explorer. To the right, a stylized period-style map depicts the coastline of India, with place names inscribed in an archaic hand including 'CABAYA REGN', 'Ilher de Pao', 'INDLARA', and 'Calecut', accompanied by a palm tree vignette.
